Mediation PTBO allows parties to control outcomes of the mediation while ensuring the parties are fully informed on court practices and procedures.
Orientation Appointments
(1-2 hours in length) $75.00
Mediations are $175.00 per hour and booked for a minimum of 2 hours.
*some exceptions apply*
In the event you cannot make your mediation and do not provide 24 hours' notice you will be charged for two hours at the regular rate.
ORIENTATION:
Meeting with each party in person and separately, once mediation is deemed appropriate, to gain further insight to each parties' understanding of the conflict. This appointment will be on a different day than the mediation itself. You will be given an Agreement to Mediate at this appointment to sign at your pre-mediation stage. (Allow 1-2 hours for this appointment).
THE MEDIATION DAY:
Allow a minimum of 2 hours, note we recommend that you plan for the entire day so that you are able to calmly reach your decision without stress of a time limit.
-MEDIATION:
This meeting will be the time where we confirm the Agreement to Mediate and information therein.
STEP 2: DIALOUGUE:
Each party will have an equal opportunity to speak, at this stage we will go into depth of the information that you provided by a
STEP 3: THE HEART OF THE CONFLICT:
We will spend the majority of the mediation in this stage discussing the specific issues and clarifying needs, interest, relationships and values
STEP 4: BRAINSTORMING:
Active participation on finding a solution for the issues and reaching a resolution making offers and counter offers for your resolution.
STEP 5: REACHING THE RESOLUTION:
Here we will determine what issues were resolved and how, the mediator will then write a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the parties which can be used to have a formal agreement written up.
STEP 6: POST-MEDIATION:
The mediator will check in with the parties to see if they have been upholding the agreement and recommendations.
